Office of the Episcopal Pastor
This year has been a year of preparation for our ministry. We can see throughout the Word of God that before God moves, there is a time of preparation. From Him preparing the earth to Jesus going to prepare a place for us, we can see the unchanging nature of God. We have been taught the importance of the church being made ready. In particular, we must be made ready: in advance, to be used by God, to deal with adversity, through advanced planning and by establishing the Will of God.
Our focus and attention must be on the work that God has called us to do, at this time and in the world in which we live. Our work is to establish From the Heart worldwide, to restore a generation and to leave resources in the earth within our ministry and local churches. This work requires us to make a way for God’s people according to Isaiah 62:10. God’s love for the world, the lost and the unsaved is our motivation. We are motivated to make a way for those that God loves to come to the church for salvation and restoration. We want everyone to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Highlights from Ethiopia
Greetings,
We had a wonderful visit to Ethiopia last week. We were able to see the great progress that has been made in constructing the new church building in Debre Zeit. The construction is projected to be finished next year. Sister Cherry and I also visited the church in Mojo and witnessed the progress and growth that has occurred there as well. On Sunday, we had a combined Worship Service where I ordained and officially installed the pastor of the Mojo church and consecrated Pastor Tadele as the Overseer of From the Heart in Ethiopia. God was truly glorified and we had a wonderful time of fellowship with the members of both churches. Thank you for your continued prayers! Enjoy these pictures from our visit.

Highlights from India
Greetings,
Mrs. Cherry and I are excited to bring you greetings and highlights from our trip to From the Heart of India last week. Thank you so much for your prayers for us and for your continued love and support for the From the Heart churches outside of the United States. We had a wonderful visit with Bishop and Mrs. Herbert along with several pastors and leaders of the 47 From the Heart churches in India.
We held a two-day Pastor's Conference, which was held at the Parent Church, as well as Sunday Worship Service in Visakhapatnam. We also visited three other From the Heart locations within the same region of India. I ministered at two and dedicated the building at the third location. God was faithful to us as we traveled. It took more than ten hours by car to visit the three different locations. Please enjoy the pictures from our visits!
Highlights from South Africa
Greetings,
Here are the pictures from our recent trip to South Africa. God was truly glorified. The church was strengthened and encouraged by our visit. We look forward to our return trip in November.
Highlights from Cincinnati
Greetings,
Sister Cherry and I had a wonderful visit to From the Heart of Cincinnati as they celebrated the second anniversary of Pastor and Reverend Cook. The service was a tremendous blessing. It included the Congregational Hymn being led by Pastor Cook's mother and a special presentation by the Ministry of Arts. We also had an amazing fellowship after the Sunday Worship Service. Pastor Clarissa Cook has built on the foundation that was laid by Pastor Emeritus Brenda K. White and they continue to demonstrate their oneness in the Gospel.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday as we all continue the hard, unseen work of preparing our hearts. As always, thank you for being a praying church!
Please enjoy these pictures from Cincinnati!
Highlights from Harrisburg
Greetings,
We had a tremendous visit to From the Heart of Harrisburg. God was truly glorified as we celebrated the retirement of Pastor and Rev. Young and installed a new pastor. Please keep Pastor and Mrs. Reginald Covington in your prayers as they begin their new assignment in Harrisburg. I believe they will build on the foundation there and help prepare the church for the next move of God. Enjoy the pictures from the service!
Highlights from Guyana
Greetings,
Thank you for your prayers!
We had a wonderful visit to From the Heart Church Ministries of Guyana. God was glorified as we dedicated the new church building. It was wonderful to be with the members of the Guyana church as we experienced the love that we know you can only receive at From the Heart! The building could not have been built without the love and support of many Parent Church members. We appreciate your giving to aid in spreading the Gospel of Jesus around the world. Sister Cherry and I miss you and look forward to seeing you upon our return. We hope you enjoy these pictures from the Dedication Service.
Highlights from Chicago
Greetings,
We had a wonderful visit to From the Heart of Chicago! Restored ministered with us and after service the church had a Family Fun Day "Chicago style". They closed off the street and had a block party. God was truly glorified.
Sis. Cherry and I look forward to seeing everyone at Bible Study tonight and sending you pictures from our visit to Harrisburg soon. Remember we must choose to be an example. Please enjoy these pictures from Chicago.
Highlights from Atlanta
Greetings,
We had a wonderful Father's Day visit to From the Heart of Atlanta! I taught a message titled "The Father's Love" that focused on the love God has for the world and our responsibility to manifest His love to those HE loves. After service the church had a special Father's Day Brunch that was truly a blessing.
This past Sunday Sister Cherry and I were able to stream the service at the Parent Church and we were blessed by the entire service and the message. On this coming Sunday we will be at From the Heart of Chicago, so continue to keep us in your prayers!
Here are some pictures from our visit to Atlanta. Remember, we have been taught that Preparation is a Choice and we must choose life and righteousness daily. To choose life, we must choose Jesus.
