FTHCM of Atlanta
From May to December 2007, Episcopal Pastor Cherry organized From the Heart Church Ministries of Atlanta and initially pastured this local congregation. A place of worship was found and purchased in September 2007. The first 11 o’clock Morning Worship Service was held on Sunday, September 2 and the first Bible Study was held on September 4, 2007. On January 6, 2008, Episcopal Pastor Cherry ordained and installed Charles W. Starks Jr. as pastor of the Atlanta church.
Pastor Starks has seriously taken his assignment from God to care for the sheep that have been scattered by the hireling. The Dreams and Visions Educational Building was renovated and the Dedication Service was held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 and the church hosted the From the Heart International Pastors Conference April 12-15, 2011.
The Atlanta church is known as “the church that loves” and its emphasis of ministry is to provide a place where people from all walks of life can be respected, healed, loved and restored. The members are taught that God wants to use the gifts, talents and abilities that He has given each of us to fulfill His purpose. The church has caused the young and old to come together to hear an uncompromising, scriptural, simple and Christ-centered approach to the Gospel. The members continue to walk in oneness as we carry out the Vision, Plan and Motivation of From the Heart Church Ministries WorldwideTM by preaching the Gospel, building an Infrastructure and reforming the Church so that none suffer lack.
